About

I’m Alan Bedenko. I’m a lawyer by trade, and I’ve lived in western New York since September 2001. I grew up in downstate New York and attended college in Boston, and lived in Massachusetts for some time after that.

I’ve been blogging since September 2003. It started with a local effort to elect General (Ret.) Wesley Clark President in 2004. In late 2004 and early 2005, talk of developing Buffalo’s Outer Harbor and the Erie County “red-green” budget crisis caused my blogging to be redirected towards mostly regional WNY political, economic, and social issues.

From April 2005 until November 2011, I blogged with and for WNYMedia.net.  You may remember stories such as casino opponentshypocrisy and Carl Paladino’s emails.

From November 2011 until November 2014, I blogged with and for Artvoice.  You may remember stories such as Valenti’s restaurant and Donn Esmonde being an ass. After that, I blogged for the Daily Public, which was the true successor to what Artvoice had once been.

I used to Tweet a lot, but Elon Musk got in the way of that. So, it’s back to the future and we’re blogging again. I also am using Post.News in fits and starts.

You can also find a comprehensive archive of everything I’ve written at my Authory page.

Alan I’m glad you’re back to blogging. Your writing is always interesting. I found this by accident. I’m looking forward to your future articles.
