A Pal Is A Wonderful Thing.

There’s a Republican shutdown. It’s all a distraction. The reason? Epstein.

Speaker Johnson won’t seat Adelita Grijalva in a timely fashion. The reason? Epstein.

Former Fox Weekend co-anchor and Secretary of Cringe Hegseth lectured Generals about leadership. The reason? Epstein.

ICE is terrorizing every brown person in sight. The reason? Cruelty. Also, it’s a great distraction from Epstein.

The Trump regime is going to cut, cut, cut. The reason? Project 2025. Also, it’s a great distraction from Epstein.

The regime has actually decided that free speech is some woke bullshit, being kind is some woke bullshit, vaccines are some woke bullshit, medicine and science are some woke bullshit, any non-fossil-fuel source of energy is some woke bullshit, having health insurance is some woke bullshit, having a functioning federal government is some woke bullshit, late night hosts are some woke bullshit, beards are some woke bullshit, Portland, Oregon and Memphis, Tennessee are some woke bullshit, fat generals are some woke bullshit, and even the new rail tunnel under construction to connect New York and New Jersey is some woke bullshit.

Ask any of them to define “woke”.

Everything they don’t like is woke and also bullshit. Someone on one of the post-Twitter Twitters said this and it’s perfect:

And as our overlords at the so-called “Heritage Foundation” decide to target only blue, Harris-voting states, for economic punishment, query whether those blue states (which are largely donor states), shouldn’t just stop funding the federal government.

In the meantime, idiotic tariffs have resulted in China buying zero American soybeans as opposed to 2024, when China bought 27 million metric tons from US farmers. Instead, they bought soybeans from weirdo Trumpy sideburns guy Javier Milei’s Argentina – a government that is in economic free-fall and that US taxpayers are propping up with a $20 billion swap line. The funny thing is that Milei was going to make Argentina great again by fixing its economy through libertarian reforms. Sort of like a Project 2023. How’s that working out? Not very well, evidently.

Yet over the past few weeks, Argentina has gone into freefall. Investors have yanked billions out of the country, and the peso has dropped like a stone. A few days ago Trump was forced to pledge $20bn (£15bn) to prop up his friend, in addition to a rescue loan from the IMF. Later this month, Milei faces midterm elections that will serve as a referendum on his presidency and the results are expected to be bad. “We are seeing in real time how a government can melt in front of our eyes,” Alejandro Bercovich, a leading Argentine TV and radio journalist told me this week. “I never thought they would collapse this quickly.”

So, as the United States plunges itself into another idiotic shutdown engineered by Trump to distract from the inevitable release of the Epstein files, and as his useful idiot, Russ Vought, decides to drown the federal government in the bathtub, ask yourself which country will step up to bail the United States out when our “America First” and “Great Again” policies fail catastrophically.

Nothing is cheaper. The job market is collapsing. Inflation is poised to surge. Remember “stagflation“? That’s a word you should get familiar with. Just wait until Vought gets his wish and all that construction evaporates.

If you voted for Trump, or did not vote for Harris, don’t complain. Enjoy the country, government, and economy you voted for.
