In today’s Artvoice, Geoff Kelly takes up issues he has with the Buffalo News’ recent rankings of influence. You can read the whole thing here.
Artvoice sent out a similar questionnaire about influence this week. One thing that I will forever carry as a point of pride is Carl Paladino’s response as follows:
2. What people/ideas/circumstances do you consider negative influences in this region?
The Lipsey boys. The Buffalo Board of Ed, complacency, acceptance of failure and mediocrity, Geoff Kelley, Fisher, Bedenko and the rest of the Artvoice barnyard of assholes.
Thank you, Mr. Paladino. The feeling re: regional negative influences is mutual.
One thing’s for sure – this came from an expert. I feel like this is a knighthood or an OBE – something you proudly put on your resume or LinkedIn profile. Carl Paladino knows a lot about assholes. And barnyards.
I’m profoundly jealous. How do you guys rate Carl’s ire? Can I get in on this? And don’t forget “Down on the Farm with Carl Paladino.” http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/360915/october-04-2010/tip-wag—tea-party-coloring-book—calm-legislation
Carl, you add a real luster to our lives.
Too bad we have to take industrial strength showers after experiencing said “luster”.
I suppose “takes one to know one” is too easy a response. You know you’re on the right track
“barnyard of assholes”
Paging Dr. Freud, Dr. Freud to the ER stat!
Haven’t read your blog in about 9 months Alan. Thanks for posting this. Read the articles, and was served a heaping bowl of steaming WNY same old same old. Nice that there are so many organizations with folks who truely care. Truely a shame that WNY politicians, regardless of party, and their willing minions in the various spheres, haven’t changed their way in the 10 years plus that I’ve been reading your blog. I’m sure you’ve been called many things Alan, even a few by me. But you’re right about one thing. If you are called an asshole by Carl on a rant, it’s like getting the OBE, or a Medal of Freedom. He’s never going to learn.
