Vote for the Central Terminal

Seldom a recipient of millions of federal or state dollars for renovation, and being carefully preserved – literally – by a dedicated group of loving volunteers, the Central Terminal is competing against other local historical architectural marvels for a $10,000 grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Please click here and vote – and vote often – for the Central Terminal to receive this much-needed grant. All of the properties competing against the Central Terminal have been recent recipients of large grants from government sources and private foundations. The gorgeous old railroad station, however, has not been so lucky.

They really need this money.

  • I voted for the Colored Musician’s Club

  • Thanks for the vote of support, Alan!

  • This would be dollars well spent. It would really be nice if one of the Banks in the area, would add the matching funds. We all know how doing anything for the the East side is viewed. The whole region should get behind this movement. It’s a great building that needs some love. The region should put aside personal feelings and reasons ,have some vision and help to bring this building back!!

  • For the record – CTRC has just received a grant from NY State of $300,000+. The catch we must come up with $100,000 in matching funds. $10,000 will help us reach this goal a little easier otherwise we will need to use an entire years proceeds from our events and tours to be able to access the grant money. Compared to other historic projects in Buffalo we are doing as much as we can with volunteers but now we need to step it up a notch to save this building. We are not doing this for ourselves we are doing it for the entire region and future generations.
